Butt Lift (Butt Lifting) Surgery
Buttock lifting surgery is a surgical procedure performed to remove sagging in the buttocks area and to achieve a more aesthetic appearance. During the surgery, excess skin, fat and tissue in the buttock area are removed, followed by stretching.
The main stages of the surgery are as follows:
- Detailed patient examination and surgery planning
- General anesthesia
- Making planned skin incisions before surgery
- Removal of excess tissue and fat
- Skin tightening and suturing
The surgery is performed under general anesthesia. The method to be followed during the procedure may vary according to the needs of the person. In classical butt lift, the sagging skin in the hip area is removed. If the patient has excess fat, excess fat can also be removed by liposuction. If buttock lifting surgery is performed on a patient with massive weight loss or sagging buttocks due to aging, extra volume may be needed to shape the buttocks. In such a case, it can be combined with BBL or buttock implant. However, in cases where extra volume is needed, shaping and augmentation with the patient's own tissues should be preferred first. This is called "buttock augmentation with autogenous tissue". In this procedure, the subcutaneous and fatty tissues that need to be removed in the surgery are not discarded, but are prepared by removing the skin on it and advanced into the pocket prepared on the muscle under the butt skin to give extra volume to the butt. Very successful and satisfactory results are obtained with this procedure.
Postoperative scars are planned to be hidden in the transition area of the buttocks and waist and in the bikini line. The healing process may take several weeks. The operation usually takes 2-4 hours and requires at least one overnight stay in the hospital.
