Bichectomy (Cheek Aesthetics) Surgery
Bichectomy (cheek aesthetics) surgery is a surgical procedure for reshaping facial contours. Bichat's fat is a fat pad located in the cheek area of the face and is known as Bichat's fat pad or buccal fat pad in the medical literature. It was described by the French anatomist Marie François Xavier Bichat. This fatty tissue is not located directly under the skin; it is located deep in the cheek area. where it is located is the lower part of the cheekbones. It fades the area between the cheekbones and the corner of the mouth, making the face look fuller and rounder. With this surgery, the Bichat fat pads are removed through a 1 cm incision made through the mouth. It takes between 0.5-1 hour and is usually performed under short-term general anesthesia for patient comfort. However, it can also be performed under local anesthesia. In cases where it is performed together with facelift surgery, there is no need for an incision through the mouth. It can be performed through a facelift incision.
